I was looking for an app to extract the last eight digits from a standard SMS message, which is automatically generated by scanning a customized QR code on our customers' equipment. I tried several solutions in the marketplace and Ticket Parser Autofill is the only one I tested working flawlessly with SMS messages. While other apps handle emails well, none delivers indeed the expected results with SMS texting. Not only are these eight digits (serving as the unique identifier of the equipment we sold) automatically parsed into a ticket field… but thanks to additional development by Swifteq (separate service of course), customer details, equipment model, contract coverage and serial number are instantly retrieved from a custom object (install base records). This process happens automatically, without any user intervention, completing most of the other ticket fields.
